Matthew Lehmann Memorial Scholarship Endowment

Matt was an intellectual superstar, an accomplished athlete, a gentle and kind person and a wonderful son, brother, and uncle. He completed his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Computer Science while suffering a punishing illness. His professional work, spanning nearly 2 decades, in the field of virtual reality helped hundreds of people across 4 continents in companies ranging from 150 to 85,000 people, including the largest virtual environment company in the world. While at CSUSM he provided support to other students as a teacher’s aid and then after graduating remained connected through his support of various projects. Matt mentored graduate students while working in a dynamic thinktank company and his contributions to those people and science carry on today. He is missed immeasurably by his family, colleagues, and friends; this scholarship in his name will carry on his memory.
